Psychological distress, particularly depression, is increasingly prevalent among students and professionals in the healthcare sector in Tamil Nadu. This cross-sectional online survey assessed subthreshold depression and its severity using the PHQ-9 and Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale among healthcare students and professionals, providing essential data for early intervention and mental health management strategies.
